my girlfriend has a 1998 honda accord sedan with a 3.0 v6 and a 4 speed auto tranny. the tranny is pretty much toast and i need to find her a new one. I have searched but just cant find what im looking for, or i did find it and im not understanding it. either way i need help!!!!!! i need to know what other vehicles have trannys that will fit her car. i have read that Acuras fit but what models?

Are you looking for another automatic or is a manual in the mix?

 

B7XA is the family of transmission, not to be confused with transmission code.
98-02 Accords, CL, Ody, and Isuzu Oasis used this family of transmission.
The Ody/Oasis may have lower gear ratios which will affect mileage.

will a tranny from a honda accord 2.3 fit it?

what years of acura fit? and is it better to trade the honda tranny out with an accura?

if you are determined to replace it, i would spend money on a professional reman/rebuilt unit with lots of warranty. this trans is very well known to explode. or have a heart-to-heart and sell it. that transmission is trash, absolute trash.

B7XA is a B7XA, different gear ratios maybe, but otherwise same problems.

 

Im thinking in the V6 Saturn Vues they had 3liter Honda V6 in them as well...another place to look. If memory serves me right its a J30? Couldve been a J35 tho.
