RSX Advice
So I have my eyes on an 06 Type-S. It is coming from a Honda dealership they are asking around 11.8k for it. It has 113k miles on it but it is pretty much flawless from what I can tell in the pictures at least. Im going to look at it this weekend to get a better look at it. My real question is, would it be wise financing this car with that many miles on it?
Here is the NADA value (not sure if the link will work)

$11,675 after mileage deduction ($275)
The price depends on how clean the car is and how bad you want it.
Try to find things with it to talk the dealer down. They are a Honda dealer so they probably know how hard to find these cars are getting.
How far you can talk them down on the price also depends on how long they have had it.
--Check the car fax for accidents.
--Have them put it up on a lift for you and check and see if there are any fluids leaking.
--Make sure every works (windows, locks, radio, etc etc)
--Look around the intake manifold cover, the valve cover gaskets tend to go out and leak oil if it was drove in a "spirited" fashion
--Make some high rev shifts into third and make sure it isnt grinding.
--Have they pull the service history by the VIN
Just find stuff to nit-pick on the car, and go on auto trader and find some compariables, print them out and bring with. A dealer is more likely to deal if you show legitimate reasons for them to drop the price other than "because thats what I wanna pay"
Also keep in mind like any other car at 100K miles it is going to start needing stuff
Tranny fluid
Radiator flush
Spark plugs?
Tires?
Suspension parts are probably all OEM so it maybe time to look into new wheel bearings and ball joints and possibly struts and springs and tie rods.
On the other hand, keep in mind that you get what you pay for.
That being the case, do you try to find the cheapest one? I do, but I can do most of the mechnical work myself as long as the body is good.
Or do you spend a little extra and get one in the 50-80K mile range which will probably cost $12-14K and not have to work about a bunch of maintainence coming up?
2 years ago I paid $15,800 for an 2006 Type S with 58K (1 owner, no accidents, garage kept) in almost perfect condition other than some rock chips on hood and front bumper

Well guys it has been a few days since I have been on here so I havent got a chance to read these replies but I got it anyways! I love this car so much! After having the car for a few days I have found out some more things about it.
-113k Miles
-One owner, never been wrecked, airbags never deployed
-Interior is mint besides one small rip in the driver seat where your right tricep would sit lol
-Exterior has a few minor scratches but nothing major at all
-Everything works on the car except the fog lights
-It isn't stock
Im sure I'm forgetting things but if you wanna know anything just ask!
Preciate the help guys
