Wanting my 94 accord to 225hp
To get 225whp in your Accord will cost you right around $5k to do it properly.
How much you can save depends on your ability to find deals on parts and how much of the work you can do yourself.
Is your car standard or automatic, if it is automatic you will want to swap in a 5 spd manual transmission. What is the regular maintenance like, brakes, suspension, fuel and ignition systems? What is the health of your current engine? these are all things to take into consideration before you go adding power.
One thing not to over look is the engine management system and tuning. Do you know of any tuners in your area that you can talk to about reaching your goals? That is where I would start your build.

there are plenty of builds on this site with accords for you to check out.
there are a lot of questions that you need to answer when it comes to HP goals.
do you want to stay with your current engine?
engine swap?
boost?
remember it costs money when it comes to playing with the big boys.
i have a list of my mods that i did to my boosted CD ( http://www.hondasociety.com/board/sh...d.php?t=154258 )
but if you really want to drop money on a 20 year old car, you need to start reading up on what your plans will be. its going to cost you money and it will get expensive. the least expensive is going to be an H swap with a 5sp swap. you are going to be in the 200hp range. if you want to go above that then you will need other bolt ons to have the engine breathe easier and possibly a tune. if your hp goals are higher then you are looking into turbocharging the car. thats a whole different topic that you can also read up on.
