Odd Sensation/Noise When Making Hard Lefts
Hey gents, could use a bit of help diagnosing what I believe to be a suspension issue.
The problem occurs only under very specific circumstances. I've been able to replicate the problem in two ways:
1. Hard lefts in a parking lot, first gear, giving it a bit of throttle (<10 mph)
2. Hard left turn under a decent amount of power (<45 mph)
Under scenario #1 the sensation/noise repeats fairly slowly, while under #2 it happens much more quickly. This leads me to believe that it's something that is rotating.
I know it isn't rubbing (I know what that feels/sounds like) and shouldn't be problem since I'm using stock SH wheels and tire specs with a minimal drop (AGX/GC).
I had thought it might be a CV, but those make more of a clicking noise when they're on their way out, and would be making a noise much more frequently. Both driver and passenger are about 10 months old.
The last time I checked, I don't believe there was any wobble from either of the front tires when I had it on stands, but I'll have to double check now that I think about it.
Any other ideas as to what could be causing this? I want to make it out to a couple of HPDE's this season but can't under these circumstances.
Thanks

Is it a constant rotational noise like a hum or grinding sound or a rotational click? Can't really tell from your description of the sound.
I'd check the wheel bearings, make sure the axle nuts haven't backed off, diff, and engine mounts.

Sound is more of a hum, no clicking or grinding whatsoever. Definitely rotational as it occurs with different frequency depending on speed.
Wheel bearings is first on my list and I'll double check the axle nuts while I'm at it.
Left and right engine mounts appear to be in good shape and are original. Front was pretty damn shot prior to installing ES inserts in there (front and rear).
Thanks for the insight.
Anyone/anything else?
