Default B_Swapped's Time Attack integra progress thread.

So I finally figured I should have a thread regarding my car's road to recovery/progress thread. This isn't a DD car it was still street driven a bit last year but I kept getting tickets for improper this improper that lol. So after I rear ended someone due to using my R888's in the rain I decided to not street it anymore. The car is set up for time attack I raced in the street FWD class at CSCS last year but mostly did open track days as I had to work a lot of the few days that the official events were held. So here's a quick to date of the car and what's happened with it.

Here she is 10 mins after I bought her on oct 24th 2012 w/ some ugly xxr's and ebay lip lol 94 gsr 99% rust free ! I paid 3.6K

The car stat most of last winter and had a terrible running rich issue due to me not installing the s2 mani/tb right. but here it is for one of it's first days out with my friend Eric's NSX-R and a nice mugen'd out DC5-R

A lot of the summer was spent just repairing aging parts so not a lot got to be done to it upgrade wise, was doing the drive shafts this day after it dislodged it's self from the trans. Went with some Driveshaft Shop level 0 shafts

The car got some goodies for once lol instead or replacement parts

Here's what I mean by the OPP(Ontario Provincial Police) liked to give me a hard time, 3 squad cars later all they could fine me with was modified seat belts(4pt cam lock)

Hasport mount install had to remove the head to be able to get enough leverage to break the rear mount bolts loose, was a long night went with 70A stiffness

September(this year)moved to Toronto to go to centennial college for automotive technician !. And it was 5 mins away from Teknotik so I spent LOTS of time hanging out there

Funny story with this pic....This is the exact same parking spot where I first saw my now current car one year ago on the 24th of oct least year so I wanted a pic of the 1yr anniversary

Sad day it had just rained and I still had my r888's on(R-compound tire) and under the bridge it was still wet, I didn't see that the guy in front of me hadn't started moving yet. So didn't break till late and they locked up and I rear ended him going maybe 60 kph mine sort of slid under his thus my damage was wore all he got was a few scuffs

Rad support got rather banged up and pushed back

So I figured why not go the b20V route good bye original b18c1(I still have it)

time to clean and paint the bay it was horribly dirty

A Huge thanks to Eric and the guys at Teknotik(Teknotik.com) for helping me when I needed it after shop hours and supplying me with high quality parts at an unbeatable price, best people in the business there

So now were at the current day I've bought a lot of new parts and I did forget to take pics at the time but I will be doing more detailed updates, but here's all the parts I've bought for it OEM Honda or quality aftermarket.

here's what I got lately ASR sub-frame brace, ASR end-links, F7 LCA's with spherical bearings, and a new OEM 98+ bumper painted in championship white and a 32mm hollow sway bar(on delayed special order) ! with .120 wall thickness. The dash came out today along with all the sound deadening and ducting components.

It's turbo'd so I think that makes up for it not being RHD lol

So went to get some Rota slip's with proxes T1r's 185's in the rear and 205 proxes R1R's up front not sure how this will fair out with the 32mm bar but we'll see come spring.

Got the brace on still waiting for my 32mm bar and as you can see still rocking my pink BWR lca's till the season start may 29th(would like to save the life of my spherical's). Also got the last section of my K-Teller exhaust welded up no muffler FTMFW

Here's the bay still dirty sadly but the engine is back in and sort of works, the basic specs are: 99 b20b 85x89mm manly rods, Wiseco 12:1 Pistons, pro 1 cams, grams 550cc injectors, skunk ultra/pro series manifold(testing both), plm bigtube header and the 3'' K teller exhaust. Currently switched back to the pro series manifold over my ultra street one, we ported the pro series one to 74mm so it has the same plenum opening as the ultra street. I want to see if I can gain in any different area's with it on, was free so why not also looking to do the Hondata coil on plug retro fit since I have an s300

The ugly abs unit will be coming out sooner or later along with the oem barratry for a 3lbs anti gravity one !. I'm still working on figuring out what lines I need etc, am going to be getting some ITR rear seats tomorrow since my girlfriend sometimes brings here friends with her (yes I'm going to try driving it on the street) for a few weeks !!. I know not much on this car looks "pretty" yet but that's not my main goal I have been getting pieces painted etc tho.

Ok removed the stereo and speakers today ordered a JDM stereo delete plate(yes it's called that) itr clock delete and looking for a pw:jdm airbag delete tray. For the big hole that use to be where the climate control used to be I've got some thin aluminum sheeting that I'm going to cut to shape and get that in there. Also on the to do list is fix the floor hole still on the hunt for suitable metal and attempt to get the headlights to work again . My asr 32mm bar should be here later next week ! also need to get a new helmet for the season start. pics to come !

Ok been busy parting out my old civic got 1.1K so far this week from it, still lots to sell !. Any ways got the bumper screws for the bumper from the dealership of course and a OEM oil filter as you can see I'm OCD about what goes on this car.

Decided to fully eliminate ANY and ALL rust on the car these are the holes lol it's getting trailered to a body shop late next week for the straightening of the rad support and any last painting along with an alignment

Took the PCI side skirts off and sprayed some truck bed liner all under the bottom and rocker where there was surprisingly NO rust, just in case it rains I don't want any water getting trapped

The wire tuck is going well will have some pics of that too once I get it loomed etc, LOTS(99%) of the things I've ordered are on back order so not much gets done lately

The car is getting trailered to a local body shop tomorrow that has done good by me and always got my stuff done in a few days max !(armond's auto body)

Here's how it sits now bent rad support and still lacking a hood

The cut in half harness now wired and loomed back up still need to "tuck it" all things are working again

Using my FIT's snow tires this time as last time it got stuck not more then a foot out of the garage

Got a new low(ish) profile jack that fits under my car nicely and a new MAC tools click style TQ wrench !

If you ever hear me talking about hating preludes well this is my reason lol my brothers 5th gen type SH, we brought it back from the dead with over $4,500 spent at the dealer and we're still not done.

Threw the civic seat in as not to dirty my newly cleaned Recaro's dash is back and waiting on my OEM radio delete plates thus the nasty holes...don't mind the Skunk2 sticker

Recaro bath time ! had some free time so I decided to wash both of them down spent a good 45 mins on each damn seat, woolite and cold water and a lot of scrubbing

All clean and dry with the passenger side Takata harness dry fitted(bought a 2nd one) as the cam lock is not favored by most ppl.

I hope the next update will be the front end all fitted up !! I can't wait save from no hood I bought a whole new 98+ front and had it painted, still waiting for my fancy "track only" parts

Getting/got my spherical bearings pressed in ! and new lower ball joints car should be super fun to drive come spring

Made up the block off plates out of some duct sheeting from home depot ! just need more screws then it'll be flush, again I'm not making this car to be pretty just functional which I have a good feeling it will. The 2014 CSCS time attack rules came out there's a chance i'll be put in unlimited-FWD class which would mean running against Time_Attack_Type_R and the rest of R-division guys. I got a 3D printer and made the Acura logo as you can see on the key chain kinda neat lol.

The other pics didn't show them well enough

You should just keep the recaros in the tub... think of how much support you would have when you are showering!

just little things like keychain tabs and friends names lol it's hard as I have to "draw" things up on the computer before I can print them.

As for the car I borrowed my friends welder and got some sheet metal and welded up the holes in the floor ! no pics as the welds are absolutely horrid BUT they are sold so that's what counts, going to start putting the interior panels back tonight. Next up is getting the rad support pulled back straight then find someone selling a hood still needs to get touched up paint wise i'll be getting that done late this month. I also got a husky LED work light which I think is a great addition I have bad night vision currently the light set up in my garage is two 1900W halogens which are great at the front but I needed something for the back of the garage, this fit the bill will post pics I recommend it if you don't like halogen heat and Watt consumption. Sold my new tuner 2 cams to some guy in Latvia(close to Russia) so I've got some extra money for the car next up is areo going to get PCI stuff again.

Trip to the body shop put on hold due to the horrid weather we still have up north where the car still is, however I got some pretty damn cool custom Diamond racing steelies ! painted Tiffany&Co. blue and tiffany stickers on each rim. the specs on them are 16x10 +25 and +35. paid $1,055 rims are extremely clean just need to get the dust off them etc no these aren't for the track they're so I can drive it around on the weekends for fun !

dang dude how much $ you reckon you spent so far???
your ticket collection alone would bankrupt me.
you'll need something like this to go with the printer:

We added up the all the bills and invoices the total was just over $10,850 lol now mind you we pay a 13% tax rate on everything and suffer from higher mark ups here. Got my diamond steelies mounted up and rolled the rear fenders/pulled the fronts out a bit.

The body is still a mess and will be till the snow melts but I have a front bumper and hood freshly painted waiting to go on !. the DRW's aren't for everyone lol I didn't think I was going to like them but I was surprised, was originally going to get XXR 531's in a 15x8 0 offset but these are more rare.
