Default bad idle after cleaning tb

I went to clean my tb the other day (idle would "jump around" a bit if It wasn't completely warmed up so I thought it might help) and saw that the back of the tb was really dirty so I took it off to clean it. As I took the tb off I noticed there was no tb gasket and that the area of the Im where the tb attaches was fairly gunked up to. As I cleaned everything I noticed one of the gunk spots on the Im was actually a chip filled in by gunk. After putting everything back together the car started idling worse and was "jumping" badly so I went and got a tb gasket. After I put it in it started to idle much better but now it idles high, around 900-1k and once it warms up will jump a little between 800-1200rpm but eventually evens out. So it seems to me like my im is the problem. Could it be something else? Or should i start looking for another im?

On another thought is there any kind of sealant I could use between the tb and im in the mean time?

Get intake/carb cleaner and spray it around the tb and intake manifold while running. When the idle changes then you found your leak.

Your iacv & fitv is probably the ones that need cleaning. https://honda-tech.com/forums/acura-integra-6/%2A%2A%2Ahow-clean%2A%2A%2A-your-iacv-k-idle-air-control-valve-1575913/

I agree with ej1b18c you should clean your iacv and fitv real good. Happened to me once and cleaning is all it took and everything is running the way its suppose to be. Good luck!

Same here! Just cleaned my IACV yesterday after getting my car and the random idle problem was gone
