B16s honestly are not that terrible honestly, they are nowhere near as bad as a single cam. It's obviously a lot better if its a b16a from an si or similar

gsr cams have a little bit more lift and duration than the b16a2s and all in all it will feel quite a bit slower than your gsr I'm sure. however, for a daily commuter you will be fine until your gsr is rebuilt.

It'll definitely feel a lot slower for DD use...especially with the awful GSR gearing. The B16 lacks torque. Add taller gearing to that problem and now add the fact that its pulling a 4dr....and the motor will be dogged down.

But it beats walking.

You mean a D16Y8? A B16A2 in a civic coupe isn't much faster than a D16Y8 in the same chassis till you shift into 3rd gear.

So...a 99-00 civic Si isn't MUCH faster than a 96-00 EX till you shift into 3rd.

Since your 4dr integra weighs probably a little more...if not the same as an EM1, and you'll have GSR gearing...it will be a kind of like a 96-00 EX until you start really building speed. The big issue with B16s is torque. GSR transmissions have really tall gearing. So you'll notice the engine struggling a bit when shifting. A B18C feels a LOT more torquey than a B16. The lack of torque will be ESPECIALLY noticeable around town.

So it will be slow. But no...not quite as slow as a D15B non VTEC LX.

drove it around the block today and it is not as bad as alot of people are saying.

i would say its a bit better than a db8 with ls swap

picks up relatively easy

boltons and AEBS intake manifold. everything else is stock and stock b16 crome basemap

that engine is gone. now i got 2 gsr engines with same problem spun bearings both need rebuild
picked the wrong shop to do the headwork and it was leaking oil
the db8 engine also visited a shitty mechanic and oil starvation then spun bearing...

but i will see how this one does.

so far i have been satisfied with the power for daily driving
