P0505 issue came up after cleaning my IAC valve. Nothing was wrong with it before, I just felt like cleaning it for good measure..

but will it affect the bad in a negative way if i do what he did? it just seems like its mor thorough and seeing as how its just two more bolts, it would be better this way. But i dont wanna throw off any calibration or anything. Thats what I want to avoid
Is your car an auto? That video is for a Y7 or a Y8 auto. Also never get carb cleaner or throttle body cleaner on the gasket like he did in the video it'll dry the gasket out and cause leaks.
decided NOT to do it his way and just spray TB cleaner in the holes...

So earlier I checked my car for codes... I made sure P0505 was not there...
I went ahead and cleaned the IAC valve since I was cleaning the TB and I had easy access
After assembling everything, I start the car, and I feel it shaking. It shows a CEL. So I pull the 7.5 fuse and let it sit there.
After I put it back in theres no CEL and it feels better. I take it for a drive and 5 minutes later CEL come on. I check it and sure enough this code is there
I made sure the gasket was sput back on right. I cleaned it with TB cleaner and sprayed it into the ports/holes of the IACV
Did I damage it or what can it be? Thanks

Also make sire or dried out all the way or it could be shorting out internally
.
Yes, new code P0505 showed up, come here, look it up and sure enough its constantly related to the IAC valve. Seeing as how its the only thing I cleaned besides the TB, I mustve done a mistake somewhere. Today I will
remove once more,
clean it up even more thorougly
allow it to dry for 4 hours
purge coolant system(air may have been introduced to it via coolant lines)
check and recheck all hoses for vacuum leaks
One other thing. I did sea foam my car via brake booster hose, any chance this couldve been a culprit???
Thanks in advance
