I feel like I am posting something new every day lately, but it is that time of the year where I have to drive my car often and start noticing things. I have a 92 Civic with a B18C motor. I am having this strange grumbling noise when I cruise at a constant RPM, or even accelerate a little bit. But when I start accelerating a lot, the noise either stops or it gets drown out by exhaust/motor noise. I captured a nice video where you can hear the sound at the beginning of the video, the middle is normal and then during the end you can hear it happening again. Any ideas on what the problem is?

 

Not a whole lot to go on. Does it affect anything?

 

No, it does not affect anything as far as I know. It is just noticeable now that I am forced to drive with the windows rolled up (cold outside) and it is kind of annoying. Makes me think something is not correct.

 

A transmission bearing perhaps?

And where did you get those red dash lights?
