Ridgeline differential fluid
I'm new to the do it yourself maintenance. I was trying to change my differential fluid but I cant get the bolt out. Ive tried a socket wrench, tried kicking it, Borrowed a impact wrench, 50ft torque and 240, at 110 PSI. Ive seen other people say that this is a hard bolt to remove but i cant even get it to budge. Any help would be appreciated.
Sometimes a cheater bar is the only way to crack those bolts. It will help if you have it on a lift so you can have a greater range of motion. Always make sure you crack the fill bolt before you crack the drain bolt.
Put a 2 ft section of pipe over your 1/2 inch socket wrench and see if that gives you enough leverage to crack the bolt loose. I think I twisted a cheapo adapter on that one too. So use a quality tool.
You will find the tranny fill bolt to be similarly torqued by the factory 800 lb gorilla.

Yea im doing this work on the ground. Im going to try a new breaker bar and if that doesn't work I found a shop that will loosen(break) the seals for me for $20. Hopefully I will not have this issue once I re-tighten myself, as I am not a 800 lb gorilla
If you guys are having trouble loosening drain and fill bolts try tightening them a little and then loosening them up
It has a crush washer on the plugs that gets compressed when you tighten the bolt more
Then it becomed free
