Advice on rerouting hood latch cable. ek
I am looking to use this method on my ek civic to prevent thieves from popping open my hood. It's rerouting my hood latch cable. Here's the video link below I've seen:
Has anyone ever done this? This is much better and safer in my opinion so I would like to try it. Any problems with it during the process? Any info would be appreciated.

Personally, I wouldn't kill myself doing that..even tho alot of guys do it. If a thief really want to pop your hood he's gonna smash your window and do it... Yes it will slow them down a bit,
But a good alarm with a hood pin and a nicely hidden kill switch and a pair of hood locks (even tho use to keep faulty latch hoods from flying open) will be even better. Just don't loose the keys.
Either situation hood locks or cable reroute with key gone is gonna require extra key and alarm remote to to shut the hood pin trigger from the alarm up.

Good idea
bad execution
I understood what he did but, the video and tutorial were terrible.
Ive thought about doing this myself, just havent gotten around to doing it.
Security, especially for hondas should be in multiple layers and this could be one of those layers.
Best of luck

or add another shock sensor on the hood itself.
the cheap sensor that comes with the alarm is perfect for this as its not as responsive as a newer aftermarket sensor.
