Icon2 Issues With Short RAM Intake

Does anyone have either a picture, or DIY, on how to install a short RAM intake on a D16Y7? I just got my kit in this morning, and can't for the life of me figure out how to install it! The instructions that came with it were vague at best, and the instructions showed a Y8 throttle body, not a Y7 (Although numerous spots on the packaging verify it is for a Y7) - If I install it straight to the throttle body it is going to sit way too high, and I don't think I will be able to close the hood

Gee, I just love sarcasm o.O

I've been the Google route, and I could not find anything that clearly showed HOW it is installed - The problem I am having is because the tube goes on the top into the TB, there will not be enough clearance to close the hood, and if I put the pipe at an angle I will never be able to bolt the clamp down evenly ...

Besides the markings on the package, does it look like it's the correct pipe? Can you please post a pic or maybe even a link of what it is you bought? Because going off of your description it sounds like you got the wrong intake in the right packaging.

I wasn't being sarcastic. I was as serious as a heart-attack with that comment.
Post a pic. Installing an air intake (on a difficulty scale of 0 being breathing w/ hands and 5 professional experience) is about a .5.

Now I am reminded why I never come in here...everyone cries when you don't sugarcoat and hold hands

As far as a picture, everything is in my car, which is in my friend's garage right now - If I had known this was going to be such an issue, I would have taken pictures - I am not some idiot who doesn't know how to spin a damned wrench, I was asking a simple question regarding a relatively simple matter, because I do not want to HACK sh*t on my car if I don't have to ...

You sure you got the right end connected to the throttle body?

Positive - There's only one way it could possibly fit ...

How far into the coupler did you put the pipe? Is the coupler down flush with the edge of the TB (throttle body)?
I really do feel like there is something out of place. Its pretty self explanatory when you look at it how and where it should fit.

It is all the way down, flush, but the top of the pipe is about 4" higher than the airbox was

Honestly, I didn't even try, because it just looks so tall, and I didn't want to chance damaging anything - It seems like I'm missing a 90 degree coupler to go from the TB to the RAM pipe ...

Try closing the hood. Dont slam it, just set it down slow and see if it hits...

If I set it flush against the TB, the pipe slopes UP at a slight angle, so even if it doesn't hit at the TB, it would hit at the filter on the end - Like I said, it's like I'm missing a part from the kit :-/

If it wasn't dark and 15 degrees right now I'd just run out and try it again

EXACTLY! Now I wonder if I go to Home Depot, and get a 90 degree Fernco adapter, I should be able to make it work - The last time I had to return something to this company I had to wait almost three weeks :-(

Wait, is your tube not like the one pictured on the box it came in? If it's not then you were provided the wrong short ram intake. It's basically only 3 pieces, the tube, the filter and the coupler. The tube has to have the proper bends for your vehicle. The tube on your box looks just like the installed AEM one that B Swapped posted with the sharp j turn in the tube.

If it's not the proper tube I would deal with a stock intake and work with the company to get the proper intake, but that's just me.
