Default built b16 turbo overheating

I need help. I have a built b16 turbo I just upgraded from a neon. Radiator to the scirrocco but I'm still overheating without a thermostat. I felt the radiator and one side is completely cold and the other side is hot. I was wondering what peoples thoughts were.

"Help" is not an adequate thread title for tech forums (edited) and you have provided no car information.

Have you replaced the thermostat and bled the cooling system?

Both radiator hoses are hot, and I just bleed the cooling system. Half of the radiator is hot how it should be and the other half is ice cold. I bought the 85 scirocco radiator from advance last week.

Currently I took the thermostat out until I could get a new one but there was little to no difference. The side away from the turbo where the Inlet and outlets are get hot but at the other end tank/ core close to the turbo are cold

If your thermostat is out and your running the car and it has the same symptoms without it, there's only 2 things I can think of, your water pump is not pumping or your radiator is clogged halfway through. I wouldn't recommend running the car without a thermostat especially turbocharged. Also like they said, check for air pockets in your coolant system, wait for car to be fully cold, take off radiator cap and run car until you see no bubbling, or it starts spilling out. Fastest way than using the bleeder

I ran it with one of those coolant funnel things you attach to the cap and ran it until the bubbles were all gone. It also doesn't overheat for at least 30 or more minutes of driving in traffic/hwy.and sometimes it doesn't overheat at all. But tonight when it did I felt the radiator ad that's when I noticed one side being cold and the other being hot. It's like it's only using half the core which wouldn't be enough cooling capacity.

Also when I had the funnel attached and I held the rpm at like 3k you could see the coolant was flowing

It sounds like something is stuck inside your the hose line at the cold end or some of the vanes on your radiator are pinched or clogged. Something is preventing flow in that cold area

Make sure when you get the thermostat its the performance one or whatever. There's a thermostat that opens specifically for hotter running engines which i assume would be performance engines, just ask your parts store for the different heat degree thermostats and hopefully they know what they're talking about lol
