Default getting ready to swap... Ecu question

getting ready to swap my ek hatch with a b18a1 with a hydro b16 transmission... bought the whole swap from a guy in Rhode Island who said he got it running but it wasn't running 100%, it was surging and I asked if he switched the pins in the harness for the iac and he had no idea what I was talking about.... So I figured that was the problem... got home and realized the ecu I got was also a p72...

Motor is also obd1 from a 93 integra. Which ecu should I be using? I've read online I want the pr4 but I've also seen people say p75 with no clear winner as to which is the right ecu... please help, before I waste my money... Lol.

Thanks,

Nick

First off, your car isn't an EK, it's an EJ6. Yes, it matters.

Second off, what year is your car?

Depends. Do emissions where you live require the scanner plug in?

I'm not worried about emissions, just want the right ecu for the ls.

Then get an LS ECU. It's not that hard.

Not an ek and just use an L's ecu.

There really isn't any difference between those two ECUs when comparing OBD1 to OBD1. Buy whatever is easier/cheaper to obtain.

Buy an OBD2A LS ECU. Then you will need to jump the fuel pump relay power wire to the correct spot. The integra and civic fuel pump relay power wires are on 2 different locations.

Or buy an OBD1 LS ECU and a conversion harness. Forget about jumpering the fuel pump wire if you go that route. The conversion harness has that wire placed properly already

If you go OBD2a on an OBD1 B18 you're going to have to modify some emissions components to not have a check engine light, CKF being one of them.

Also I was under the impression only 00-01 OBD2B P75 would require the fuel pump pin relocation not 96-99 P75s?

Both of these statements are correct.
