1995 Accord Lx fuel pump stays priming, CEL wont blink
Once again my fathers accord stop running again randomly after driving for about a week. Heres the link for my previous thread [URL="https://honda-tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3189268"] Whats happening now is that im trying to retrieve the CEL codes and the light does not blink, i have the blue connector jumped with a paper clip and battery light and oil light stay on, i can also hear the fuel pump priming constanly. What i know for sure is i have fuel getting to the rail, new fuel pump, new cap, new rotor, new ignition coil, even switched to a known working dizzy and still no start. Please if anyone can provide some help into solving this problem id greatly appreciate it.
Btw way i try to start the car by spraying starter fluid thru the air intake and vacuum line and it almost turned on, it did alot of popping but didt actually start. So im thinking no fuel getting to the injectors maybe?
Why did you replace the fuel pump? In my 16 years of working on Honda's We have never replaced a fuel pump. You have other problems.

What is your fuel pressure?
If the pump is constantly priming, and the car will almost start with starter fluid, sounds like there may be a fuel pressure issue.
Verify fuel pressure first before throwing parts at the problem, again.

Is the CEL on while you are cranking? My 94 has an issue I have yet to resolve...if I turn the key on and the CEL stays on, I know it isn't gonna start. If I let it sit long enough the light will go out and the car will start right up. Most of the time it won't come on, sometimes it stays on for 10-20 seconds, sometimes up to 2 minutes, and worse with high humidity. Before the light goes out you can hear the main relay click a few times, and then the light goes out and it starts. I personally think I have a dirty contact inside the main relay, but it isn't bad enough to justify a $60 relay yet. That being said, what is the CEL status key on engine off. You may want to get a diagram and start checking the main relay.

Swap the fuel pump relay with another relay next to it and see if priming problem persists. Also i think that if you sprayed enough starter fluid and if you had good compression it should start and die almost right away. Ofcourse if that does happen you just verifyed that the problem is fuel. What you described with the poping and almost starting almost sounds like low compression or the timing belt skipped a tooth. This is just where i would start based on what you have described.

If the relay is clicking then the power to the relay is intermittent. It may be due to bad soldering, damaged wiring, or a faulty ignition switch. Verify the battery is fully charged and the battery connections are clean and tight. Verify all fuses are not blown. Check the ECU memory fuse under hood. Go to the techauto link in my sig and troubleshoot.
Okay so we bought a new ecu cause everywhere that i read when the CEL doesnt flash it means its a code 0 and the ecm is bad. So great news the car started right away with the new ecu and starts every time but the CEL still doesnt flash when i jump the harness and its running rich.
