Hey guys, fairly new with cars as far as upgrading and knowing some parts. But I have a 03 civic si (ep3) which I got turbo. Car has roughly 180000 miles on it and I'm thinking about doing a rebuild. Do you guys think its a must. Car runs horrible right do to a shop not knowing what the hell they were doing. Pretty much had to get everything that shop did redone at another shop. Only problem were having now is the ecu/k-pro wont hook up to laptop. Going to be taking car back to the shop to get it running correctly again. But should I consider doing a engine rebuild? If so how much does that cost, I need a reliable car for daily driving. Thanks guys and sorry for the long post, first time ever posting in a forum lol

 

Why do you want to do a rebuild? Sounds like the Kpro ECU is your problem. Fix that and then see if you're having any more problems.

Do a engine compression test. That will tell you how strong the engine is holding up.
