it was a cold day on the mountain. i bumped my hip into the door and this happened. any easy fix? :C

 

looks like its cracked bondo, you would have to feather it out, make sure its straight and then prime and paint

 

the problem is, and i know nothing of the paint field.... i dont know what the color is. its some custom color. i wouldnt know what to tell the painter

 

If you're newbie in fixing paint problems, your best bet is to bring it to a local body shop. It can cost you a bit more but you can be sure of the result.

 

how would they get the paint right if they dont know what the code is? its not like they can use paint dropper on the computer and figure it out

 

I work at a Auto body shop and we work on plenty of cars without paint codes. We have a special camera that takes a picture of the car. Once we plug the camera into the computer, it makes a paint code to mach the paint on the car. I suggest checking to see if one of your local body shops has this type of equipment....
