'91 Honda Accord LX Radio Antenna Switch/Button
Hi guys first post here
but i just got a 91 Honda Accord LX and was wondering where the button is to make the antenna go up on it. whenever i have the radio on it does not go up by itself and i tried looking all around the dash and stuff but could not find a button or switch for it. Any help would be appreciated.

There is no separate button for the antenna. If you have a power antenna, it should extend/retract in response to the radio being turned on/off. The motor for the antenna is looking for 12v from the radio to tell if what to do.
If you have an aftermarket deck installed, maybe whoever installed it didn't/couldn't accommodate the lead for the power antenna. If so, your power antenna will not work. I would start by taking the radio out and seeing how it was installed. I'm not sure, but I think the 12v lead for the power antenna is a yellow and white wire on your year. You might even find it chopped off and just laying under the dash behind the radio.
You could also have a bad antenna motor, but those motors are pretty hardy and can usually still be heard chugging even if the antenna gear inside them has gotten jammed up in the housing, making them incapable of raising and lowering the antenna mast.

I got the antenna up, i just started the car and pulled the antenna up with some pliers until i could get a hold of it. then it started going up by itself, and yeah it came is an aftermarket Bose stereo face plate.
