i just wanted to add my two cents about idle surge. i know hondas have a variety of reasons for that idle surge, but mine was happening as a result of low coolant. as soon as i filled up the coolant (why it was low, well, thats another issue), the idle returned to smooth. another sign that coolant was low was my temp gauge was going haywire- flashing up to hot, then coming back down. but it didn't do that part for awhile, it started with the surging (when it was warming up).
