just installed a new clutch on a ef honda civic d13b

used a clutch alignment tool

the problem is its not engaging fully and not going in to gear

start the car go to put in any gear and it will not go in but will start driving
try put it in reverse and it will cruanch

i didnt tourqe the pressure plate put did them up tight.

this is a perk job so i want to get it fixd

the clutch kit is clutch pro. part number KHN20004

it says honda civic, concert, crx 1.6l

put the clutch fit good on the input shaft. i have put in clutches before but there never been new. have i missed something that is ment to be done on a new clutch?

 

did you try adjusting the clutch cable.

 

Sounds like your clutch cable is too loose.

 

i can hardly pull the cable up any higher

 

can you over tighten the pressure plate bolts
