Default 91 auto dx question

hey hondatech,

quick question...I searched but couldn't find it so...

I have a 91 dx orginally automatic...

I replaced my ignition housing and noticed a connector
Coming from the top of the ignition in a silver little box,
going to the underdash directly above the turn signal relay.

The fuseboxs I've seen online dont have it I think it's something to do with
my car being automatic orginally??

Any help appreciated

Is it on the back of the fusebox ?? If so , that would be the ICU. Controls intermittent wipers, turn signals, rear defogger, and possibly a few other things.

Perhaps it has something to do with not letting the car start while in any other gear than Park or Neutral. Have you tried starting it without connecting it? If it starts, then try starting it while in D4, if it still starts then we can conclude that it is for the no-start circuitry.
