Why does my aftermarket exhaust manifold have ridges around the ports,
I just ripped my exhaust manifold off my 97 b18c5 in order to swap it with a vibrant jdm 4-1 and I noticed that the vibrant header has a 2mm ridge around each of the ports where it connects to the head and the oem manifold is completely flat.
Why does the vibrant exhaust manifold have the protruding ridges around the ports?
