Hello all. This is my first post so hopefully this is in the correct section.

I'm in need of an oil pump as we determined it was the source of my oil leak problem when we replaced the timing belt/water pump last week. The car is a 1991 Honda Accord LX. I've been having trouble trying to find which oil pump to purchase for the car. Ebay is considerably cheaper but seems to only list pumps for the F22Ax model engines and, after an engine swap, i'm using an F20A model. I can't seem to find anything regarding whether or not I can use the oil pump from the F22A model on my F20A.

I'm not very mechanically proficient so when I started seeing that the oil pumps weren't as straight forwards as some of the other parts I got confused. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Play it safe and get a pump for the engine you're using. If you don't know what model Accord it came out of, go to wikipedia and find which model it came from. Then order the pump for that model.

 

just get an oil pump gasket kit ... oil pumps dont go bad often
