Hey guys I've got a Canadian 99 Civic Si (same as American EX). I'm trying to install the stock keyless entry system, I removed the driver side kick panel but there is no keyless entry module. Ok so I need to get the module and remote.. Only issue is I can't find the 18 pin plug that goes into the module? is it tucked away and hidden? There is a orange plug with 4 wires back there that isn't plugged into anything..any idea what that is?

Its probably tucked away.

 

canadian cars have it set up like a 96-98 civic. it is in the drivers door.

 

I thought the 96-98 civic had it located in the head unit?

 

it should be a fairly small little box..keep looking!

 

Looks like only 99-00 USA models had the control unit behind the driver's kick panel. Do you have the stock radio?

 

Hey thanks for fixing my pictures Ron. Yes I still have the stock head unit. I looks like the ones in this link 2nd and 3rd picture
handa-accessories.com/civelec00.html only. Its hard to find info on the Canadian models it sounds like its either in the drivers door or the head unit. I'm hoping I just need the remote, need to get a part # on that..

 

See right-side diagram above. Do you see 16P connector B plugged into the rear of your radio?

 

Took the dash apart there is only 1 plug going into the head unit, exactly the same as this www.installerworld.com/Instructions/99HCR.htm
