VBU Not Connected

ECU: Voltage Backup (VBU)
Recently was inspecting wiring for Radiator Fan with my ECU and noticed that VBU Pin was broken and was totaly pulled out. Dont know how. My questions are
1. Is it necessary to Plug it back Immediately?
2. What happens if i Leave it Un Pluged? at worse ECU will reset each time car is switch off rite?
