f23 Japanese motor
Does anyone know if the quality is better or equal to an american model. And does anyone know compression or if i will have any problems putting it into, my 1999 honda accord 5 speed?
I have a f23A1 in my accord and I love it aside from the current problems that I am having with the car. I don't know the exact Compression on it, but you should not have a problem with it at all.
Its a powerful motor though, I drove in a 01' Accord and I could tell it was a lot faster than my F22a. Some like to hate on it who have F22's but I think they don't know what they're talking about.
Where you are dropping this into a 98-02 Accord, it is a direct bolt up. Keep your original intake and exhaust manifolds and you are good to go.
There are no issues dropping a JDM F23 into a USDM 98-02 Accord as the op is asking about......
Quality is equal and the compression in stock form should be 9.3:1.
