Default h22 transmission

I have a H 22 trans in my car was told it was good but got in and drove it for the first time and its junk it pops out of 5th gear and grinds only into 5th gear. Also on my way home it started howling.

I also have my f22 trans and I heard that u could take the 5th gear out of it and put it into the h tranny is this possible? And how much if any modifying do u need to do to it to make it work?

Also could I use parts from the f tranny to rebuild the h tranny bc the f was rebuilt like a year ago thanks.
