Default Wheel bearing question...

So I was replacing the wheel bearing on my car this last weekend and when I was pressing in the hub(holds the lug bolts on) back in my new bearing separated a little bit. I freaked out and was about to press in my other new bearing when an engineer at my work came up to and said keep going and that my new bearing should be fine. So I did, put everything back together and my car is driving perfectly fine. So I guess my question is...should I be concerned? I've already driven 60 miles on it at speeds up to 80mph and everything seems fine. What's your take?

Thanks

if it's fine right now, i wouldn't worry about it. next time use the correct adapter for the press.
