Buddy club rsd max damper spring rate
Hello, In the process of experimenting with some new RSD that I acquired in a trade. Just curious what the is the max spring rate I can put on the rear shocks? Or front for that matter. I want to hear from people with experience with these dampers. Thanks
My car (2000 Civic hatch race car) came with Buddy club RSDs with spring rates of 12K front and 8K rear. They worked fairly well, but when I started driving harder, I noticed that the rear was bottoming out on the bumpstops (I used tie wraps on the shafts to confirm the bottoming). I tried to contact Buddyclub, and Buddyclub US at 909-923-9188 (Jerry or Kevin) mentioned that the fronts could handle up to 14K and the rear to 10K without a revalve. I just called Jerry, and he said that they don't do revalves, but other places probably could revalve the shocks for higher rates. - Jim
Yea i actually got my buddy clubs revalved to 17kg rear and then the front kept 12kg then had the dampers re developed however this is my second set and I just wanna put them on a little track day car without revalving them. I called buddy club talked to jerry he said he would go to 10kg but knew ppl who went higher. I want to hear from those ppl lol
