D4 Light Blinking
I just replaced the starter on my 1995 Honda Accord EX V6 and about ten minutes after running the vehicle my D4 light started blinking. I jumped the OBDI to pull the codes and I am getting TCM code 7 & 8 for shift control solenoid A & B. Does the 95 Accord V6 only have the one set of solenoid valves? I am going to test the solenoid today.
I just tested both of these solenoids by connecting a speaker wire to each terminal and touching it to the battery. Both solenoids were activating. One of them made a slightly more dull clicking sound, but not substantially different from the other. Is there another set of shift solenoids somewhere else that I should be looking at? I also pulled the TCM and didn't see any burnt resistors or leaky/bulged capacitors.
Thank you. I imagine I might have messed up the one below the starter then. I will check it out as soon as it warms up. My lower starter bolt was stuck and I had to crank on it for days before I was able to get it to come loose. I may have possibly messed up a wire when doing so. Hopefully it isn't hard to access. I will check the tranny fluid level also. It looked pretty clean.
