well i have a db1 teg with a b20/b16vtec swap with tranny and 3 stage clutch.
the problem that im having is that its hard to get it in 1st gear or reverse. i have to have the clutch around halfway to get it into to gear. ive also notice that the clutch cable is kinda tight with no play.

also when the car is off the car goes in gear fine.

Go to a safe spot. Put the car in first gear with it off. Then push the clutch to the floor and start the car. Does the car move?

 

Your clutch cable is too tight. At the clutch arm coming out of the transmission there should be between 1/4 to 1/2in of play between the rest and the point at which the throghout bearing touches the clutch.

 

thanks man loosen it and goes into gear without trying to force it with the pedal down
