I bought a 99 civic swapped for 01 integra motor. I am trying to learn more about cars but could anyone tell me how i could find the vin number for the engine? I am trying to find out exactly what type of engine it is. ie: gs, gsr, etc.

 

there is one VIN located on the trans next to the engine stamp on the front. i also believe there is a vin on the block where it meets the oil pan.

**if you are just trying to figure out what kind of motor it is, just look at the stamp on the block.**



then there is a stamp on the head that tells what year it is etc. google it.
