2000 gsr aftermarket IM
i want to get a aftermarket IM for my Acura, but I want to keep it obd2b and not downgrade. will I throw a CEL for the IAB being disconnected? I want to keep the stock ECU aswell. how can I bypass the IAB without a CEL?
Nooo that's not what I meant at all, what I mean is you're increasing the air volumes largely over the stock 60mm plenum of the gsr one. The sknuk2 has a 70mm a lot more air going in you'll run rich or lean thus you need to get it tuned, can't tune on obd2. plus your low end TQ drops but up top you see nice gains so if you're not willing to do the obd1 jumper save for something else.

From: TRILLINOIS....WAY downtown, jerky.
If it's OBD2A and you're good with a 110mph top speed, a JDM ITR ECU would work fairly well.
But yes...the manifold swap is pointless without supporting mods like cams, a throttle body, and other bolt ons.
My otherwise stock GSR saw a little bump up top, but the torque and driveability suffered at the low/mid range when I put on the IM.
Your money is best spent on a good header instead. I really liked the power band of the PLM RMF narrow rep.
