Default Intake Cam twist posible?

Any of you have this issue or hear about it? That the intake cam on time in the gear is a few degrees out in the distributor.

Key ways can strip out... Especially when a non-OEM key is used.

good call, need to check that.

I believe the engine skip a tooth but not, advanced the intake cam 5 degrees on the gear and car went to normal. I realized that when put the distributor all the way advanced and work.

As N3vA said, check the keyway. Cams dont twist, they shear

The keys and the cam grooves are perfect, but definitely the aluminum cam gears grooves have play side to side.

Going to buy a new ones, looking at BC and Blackworks.

Like I said - key ways... the problem with random keys is that they are usually not a perfect fit like the OEM keys are. Glad you found it though.

If you are going through all these issues why cheap out on those cam gears?

As mentioned previously Golden eagle would be a good choice for your gears
I Def wouldn't go with Blackworks

Blackworks here for 4 years now. No issues. I would go with any known brand that is a 6 bolt gear.
