hi Guys,

yesterday i locked my 1999 Civic Hatch with the remote and since then the car refuses to unlock via the remote and when i use the key to unlock the alarm keeps going off i then have to use the immobiliser stick, i changed the remote battery, checked the "keyless fuse" but still nothing please can someone help me.

 

If it's an OEM remote try this:

I know this works from experiance!

1) Turn Ignition to On, but do not crank car
2) Within 10 seconds, press and hold the valet button (Slim button b/w the AM-FM and CD-Tape buttons)
3) While holding valet button, listen for the door actuators to activate
4) Continue holding the valet button and press a button on your remote
5) Still holding valet button, lister for actuators to activate again
6) While holding the valet button, turn the key all the way back (off)
8) When the car is turned completely off the radio may flash (the screen would have been blank the whole time)
7) Remove key and test remote

REMEMBER: You cant let go of the valet button at all during the process.

hi there i dont have the factory radio but my alarm system use to work with my aftermarket radio i need to find the alarm module i saw some youtube vids showing its by the driver side kick pannel but all thoses civics were LHD mine is RHD and i cannot find it in both kick pannels can somes post a pic of what it looks like up close please ... your help is greatly appreciated

 

Look for a white box with two bolts... I should be there. Look behind your center console somewhere.

 

Is it a aftermarket alarm? If not your door acuators could be faulty.
