Will '07 Accord exhaust system fit on a '99 Accord?
I have a '99 LX 4-cylinder, my mother has an '07 Accord 4-cylinder (the mid level? 6-disk CD changer, no sunroof). She was just in a wreck and the insurance company totaled her car (the '07). The damage to her car was to the front left and back left corners, including a bent frame. It is currently at the shop of a friend of mine so I can (probably) do some things that normally aren't done.
1. My car has some serious exhaust issues including a bad catalytic converter. Can I put the '07 exhaust, from downpipe back, on my car? I would put mine in her trunk.
2. Is it possible to swap out the engines? Would the insurance company allow it? My engine has 150,000 miles and has leaking rings (burns oil, maybe a quart every 2,000 miles?). Hers has 100,000 miles and is (was) in great shape. One thing though - I have a manual transmission, she has an automatic.
I know the engine swap is probably a pipe dream, but I think the exhaust swap is a real possibility, if it will fit.
Anything else that would be a relatively easy swap? She has nice Honda alloy wheels but my tires are better than hers and are a different size.

Depends on what coverage your mother has. If she is not at fault and they plan on cutting her a check to buy her car they want the car pretty much the way it is, they will turn around and sell the car to a yard for its value in parts. Some companies allow you to buy back the car back for pennies on the dollar, others do not.
IMO there is nothing readily usable on the CM for your CG.
Now if both cars were V6s the wheels might be, and the J30A5 engine would be a 40HP improvement over the J30A1, but since you have neither its pointless.
Count your lug nuts.
lol, ok, sounds like I might as well be trying to take parts off of a Camry, but thanks for the information. I'll not try to do any swaps.
It was a one-car accident (spun out on ice on the interstate - she is fine) so she was at fault. In Illinois they do not allow cars newer than 9 years old (this is an '07, so 7 years old) to be salvaged, per my friend the auto body guy. Oh well.
Next question for my mother (age 77) is whether to get a new Camry or a new Accord. Rough life.

It looks like she will be buying a '14 Hyundai Sonata Limited, the top trim level.
She had also test driven the '14 Accord and '14 Camry:
'14 Accord: not enough storage for cups between the seats, but good ride
'14 Camry: plenty of storage but ride (or steering) was not good
