Default HID question... BMW Integra!

There are several sets of hid projectors from bmw's up for auction on ebay. Is it possible to swap out the projectors in the integra for the bmw projectors? I want to be able to use my H4 d2s bulbs on my car now and have it at the correct focal point so they shine right. I figure if the bmw's use h4, their projectors will hold the bulb at the correct distance...

But aren't the projectors on an assembly that also is motorized? I think is has been discussed but not sure.

nothing is impossible, just matter of time and money,

Not worth the trouble in my eyes.

the beam pattern and spread of HID through an OEM HID housing is way better than an HID retrofit bulb inside a halogen housing. What you would want to do is find housings that have the bulbs and ballasts included, and use those.... bulbs and ballasts matched together. Basically what you would have to do is cut off the part from the Integra projector housing where the mounting and adjustment screws go through, then attach that to the BMW projector (JB Weld or whatever). Then install it back into the Integra headlight unit.

I was actually thinking of doing just that, but then looking at how cheap some of this stuff was going for on eBay, and seeing a recent article about tons of OEM HID headlights getting ripped off (especially in the northeast), it occured to me that many of these eBay auctions are for STOLEN merchandise!

No thanks, but I'd rather keep legit parts on my car. I'll most likely just go with the Phillips 4300K retrofit kit.

I'm not sure, but I think what you do is take the Integra projector out. It will have mounting tabs that attach it to the outer light housing. You cut this off as a unit, sort of like a ring, and then slip it over the BMW or Audi projector unit. You have to glue or JB Weld it into place somehow, so you end up with a BMW/Audi projector w/ Integra mounting tabs. Then you stick it back into your headlight and seal it up. I've never done it before but that's how MTK Kommander explained it to me.

What is the Phillips 4300K retrofit kit? I searched google and ebay, couldn't find much.
