Hey everyone, so i decided to show my build on my 2000 civic ex . this is my first car and it is a learning experience for me.
What i want to do is base this car off of YOUR guys help! This build will be for people that has trouble with money but still has a passion for there car.

This is how my car looked like when i first got it. i will post some updates of what ive gone through so far after a while.

 

as soon as i got this car i really didn't like the primer black look of the hood i then painted it the next day i got it.



The paint is kind of off colored but you could hardly tell and it was way better then this crappy black in my head.

 

since i hated having stock wheels on my car and i had no money... i decided why not just get some hubcaps! found some hubcaps for 20$ and made my car look way better then before.



i know i know i REGRET going ontop of my car.

 

Get some cheap rims off eBay or something. Throw those hub caps in the garbage

 

after a month or so i made enough money to buy some wheels. got these for 200 but they were ugly purple and 18's so i painted them black.

 

realising my car got cut springs (i bought it like that) as i put the wheels on it rubbed and i tried rolling the fenders but it still rubbed because of week suspension so i sold those ^ for $350 and bought my friends 15" rotaslips for $450



they looked better but then i was NEVER a fan of black wheels.

 

Just to add on i am a highschool kid with no job. the reason i was working on cosmetics first was because in my head when i first got that car i promised my self to make it look simple but a clean and nice car. after it looks alright then i would start working on the engine bay and interior.

 

Now those are cool!

 

i put a temporary sticker on my car because of all the hate i was getting JUST for having a lowered civic . every truck you see in this island i live in would try to race me. i put this just for the giggles by using clear tape and a sharpie haha



just wanted to make my car look more crappy and ricey just to give the lols.

 

what are you going to do about those cut springs and probably blown shocks ?


(what suspension set up are you gonna get ?)

 

i think i might just buy a $400 coilovers from racelandus.com unless i could find cheaper and better coilovers. any suggestions of what i should buy? but i will buy this after i buy some parts to get my engine to work at its best.

 

so i found a lip and rear lip for my car for $100 for both i installed only the front lip and left the rear lip for another time.



it was worth scraping getting to his house. but the rear lip had a cut in the middle becaus e he used to have a tow hook when he had the rear lip. thats why i saved putting it on for another day.

 

Can you score me a Hawaii license plate like the one in your pic?

 

I understand the whole "budget build" but racelands are utter trash function/form T1's are a bit better but a better idea is. KYB AGX's with H&R springs had that set up when I got my teg and liked it, even did 2 time attack events before I got my MCS 1WNR's. But that's a track only suspension 2.6K but it's worth it for what my time attack events.

 

how much would it price too? i don't plan on racing this car i just wanna build it to be a daily driven but can beat an average car kinda car

 

i see a ton at the junkyard. i could probably get one for you for a price (;

i really didn't like black rims so i decided to paint it white. i bought 3 duplicolor spray paints and 1 clear coat for around 7$ each can . i loved how it turned out!



if you are ever gonna paint your wheels make sure you sand it down smooth and mask off the tires good. i used a deck of cards and my moms old joggers to cover the tires.

 

Yes please don't waste your money on shitty coilovers. People always wanna buy the cheapest **** just save your money

 

This is a poor mans build . I know the cheaper you go the worst the performance it'll be , but I just wanna build a car that you can be cheap but still can better perform more than exceptional.

 

Another Hawaii build AURYTE!!! Good luck on da build brah. I saw a moped in Da first pic. Is it yours? I used to have a 99 elite s all kinda mods done to it.

 

I noticed I haven't shown my interior . It's kind of crappy needs a new right door panel and ac fan

 

Thanks and it's my dad's but I drive it on the daily around town to save gas . I love it

 

I put on the wheels and they looked way better than before in my opinion . What is your guys opinion of the tail lights to they match the car or should I just get oem tail lights ?





I also sanded the front bumper because of all the imperfections and the hood because it was a different white and had some dents . I'm planning to repaint in panels . And slowly turn it into a Snow White color .
