got a buddy with a few bent valves in a 94 vx (all og) and i need to swap in new valves. what other sohc motor can i swap from with ANY modifications? are all sohcv/sohc non v the same?


i know the work that needs done to swap valves so plz keep on topic to my question only plz

 

not for sure but i remember seeing something about vtec valves were a tad bigger.
but alllot of Dseries stuff is interchangeble you know that. vtec head is taller than nonvtec head. this is a good question.

 

yea my guess is all valve for v are the same but being the eco version idk i they used smaller or larger valves to achieve desired mpg

 

i did look up part #'s but there is a minor diff in vx and si part numbers maybe can enlighten me on the differance.


94 vx-- intake valves 14711 po7
exhaust valves-14721 p07

94 si --- intake 14711 p08
exhaust 14721 p08

 

looks like i have my answer. 27.5mm intake 23.5mm exhaust and NO other honda engine shares same valves
