Default Acura Integras & Honda Preludes the same?

Hey, uh my friends are saying the 97-01 preludes and 94-01 integras are the same? I know they aren't but they say they both look the same and are basically the samething. And they also say the only difference is they are "honda" and "acura" Can anyone else help prove anything cause I'm outnumbered 4:1.

God no ! I had to work on a bb6 before hated ever minute of it, their suspension is a different and the way things are layed out in the bay is just stupid. just look at some specs 2.2l vs 1.8l etc show them some parts diagrams.

Not the same. The Integra is based on the Civic platform. The Prelude is based on the Accord platform.

The two platforms did share the same suspension design, therefore from underneath they look similar; but every part is different between the two.

Totally agree. Preludes are for suckers.

No OP, not the same car...not even close. The prelude is like 8 feet longer than an integra. That should have been the first clue to your friends.

Preludes have a host of shitty characteristics not found on integras. They do have a double wishbone front AND rear suspension, which, technically is better than the Integra's.

Don't buy a prelude.

They are not the same.

Preludes are heavier and uglier

LOL @ people in this thread dissing the Prelude. I have an Integra with some goodies but I can honestly say my old stock Prelude SH handled like a champ.

One of my best cars was my old Prelude SH. It was awesome, but it didn't handle as well as either one of the DC2's I own/owned. It did handle well though.

That being said the prelude and integra are basically the same thing. Integra just has a smaller engine.

FFS no they're not I wanted to commit suicide after working on one ! the whole suspension layout is retarded AF, along with the fact they're heavy. and the parts are hard as hell to find and take forever at the dealer ship to come, had to wait 2 months for something for the ATTS.

1.) I sold you that prelude type ****. It was nice, admittedly. But thats because I removed the ATTS and did a bluetop swap.
2.) You built half that DC2 with parts off of my ITR
3.) I sold you that DB8...which is 100X better than any prelude ever.
4.) The integra has a smaller engine....but a bigger heart.
5.) Yes. Prelude and Integra. Exact same car.

Torque vectoring is awesome (just ask Ford, Volvo, VW, etc... who more recently starting making use of it), but lighter weight will always have an advantage.

The only thing the integra has in common with the prelude is that 2nd and 3rd gen prelude wheels will fit the integra.
