CRX Hf D15b7
So I've recently learned, through the forums here, about looking at engines and the numbers on them saying what block and cylinder head and all that jazz. So I was looking at some pictures of a Crx hf a 91, just like mine, but the valve cover looked totally different. So I did some research the crx hf from 91 has a d15b6 is what I understand so I went outside and checked out my 91 hf. The engine said d15b7 and my mind was blown to say the least. I thought I had a totally stock crx, but apparently not. So really what my question is is where do I go from here with getting replacement parts and mods and such, also how do I know if it still has the hf tranny? Another thing is the red line on a d15b7 is 6400 rpm yet my car will not rev past 5500. Is this a problem with the ecu?
I know that's a lot to read, but any help will be appreciated. I am fairly new to the Honda game I have had my crx almost 6 months now It's a white 91 hf with a d15b7.
From what I understand some of the folks on CRX community helped me, I have a d15b7 with all of the hf fixings on it. So what I need to know is what do I need to do get this thing running right so I can start upgrading it. I has a pm8 ecu in it and it needs a p06 what do I do to go about switching that out? In the long run I'm looking to do a mini me swap if that helps any, Long term goal would love 200whp.

You would need to lose all of the hf parts (intake and exhaust manifold, ecu, and transmission. If you still have an hf transmission you should be around 2400rpm at 70mph.
For 200whp, it's going to be tough and decently expensive without some forced induction.
I would start with a b swap and go from there.

if you seriously want 200hp then dont waste anymore time on that motor, at least I wouldn't, unless you're building it yourself which I assume from the tone of this post you arent.
If you are serious about this and understand the amount of $ required to get there, then forget about everything you have in your engine bay right now, it won't get you there.
You need to read and learn about engines and transmissions before you can ask the questions that will help you get to the 200 WHP goal. You are not there yet.

The transmission is probably the original HF, because d15b7 are from the civic 92-95. They came with hydro clutch transmission. Do you still have a clutch cable ?

OK so I abandoned the 200hp goal. I really just want more passing power from the car. It doesn't have an hf tranny I'm sitting at about 3500rpm at 70mph. And as far as the valve cover the b6 is an 8 valve motor so that would make them different
