Getting my first Honda back (1981 Civic 1500)
So, I bought my first Honda (a 1981 Civic 1500 HB) back in 2001 for a $700 high school graduation present to myself. I sold it to a friend in 2003 because I had two to three other cars at the time. Ever since then I regretted selling the car. My friend doesn't want it any longer so he is giving it back to me. He swapped the auto to a 5 speed tranny and put a DCOE carb on it. He also did a light rebuild on the engine. Here's the catch though, after the rebuild he NEVER started it and the carburetor got stolen over the years. I am pretty sure I am going to need to fully restore this car, but I do not care because I want it back. My goal is to get it running again and drive it around. I might add some goodie under the hood and nice wheels, but that's after I figure what I am going to do with the engine. Do I replace the T-Belt/alternator belt and Seafoam it with a new oil change? Or do I find another engine and rebuild and install that one. It needs alot of work, but I am in no rush. Any thoughts?
that motor might be worth restoring. just go look at it and figure out what you think It will need, some the stuff you mentioned my or may not be bad.

Once the car is in my backyard, I will be doing a compression check on it. I also found misc parts I need here and there to help with the restoration project.
