Burned up harness from upping fuel pressure?
I went to get tuned yesterday, and ended up burning up the wiring from main relay to the plug on the dash harness that goes through the firewall to the plug you typically wire in a resistor box. It ran fine until psi on the regulator was set????
that's definitely not normal, and shouldn't happen no matter what the fuel pressure is set to. you sure its the injector wiring that burned up, and not the fuel pump wiring?
if you're using a large fuel pump, that can cause damage to the fuel pump wiring if you're running stock wiring and higher than stock pressure

you should have no issues then with that wiring that got burned up. must have a short somewhere, or have the wrong overall resistance in the injector circuit.
OK I will post pictures, Its a burned up harness off the injectors side. The pumps are wired separately and are running all 8 gauge wire like i mentioned. I am beginning to think that maybe the guy that had the original LS Turbo in the car (dsm 450s) maybe had something exposed I never caught onto? I bought a wrecked eg coupe and am swapping all harness's back over to factory and running a switch panel for gauges, pumps and electric fans.
I just found the same thing on a kids ride a few weeks ago.
harness was exposed, not wrapped and injector wire melted on who knows what.
He swapped harnesses and he was back in business.

Yeah man, I have bought a virgin dash and engine harness. I am looking at a switch panel for my pumps, fans and gauges. I will try to stay far away from any factory wiring as much as possible. I have a distribution block under the dash from the battery relocation and will run power to the switch panel off of that with 8 gauge and a few inline fuses.
This is what I am looking at right now;
