Just picked up this car and i found out that it has an alarm that is no longer in use is there anything i should be worried about im goin thru and takeing my time cuting out what im shur is part of the alarm any pointers would be great.

Did you find a legit SIR or is it a swap? Love those... bump for your thread. I've got an aftermarket alarm that keeps killing my battery... want to take mine off too but don't know where to start.

Atrocious spelling.

If it is aftermarket, then removing only the alarm wires should not be a problem. Just cover up any exposed wire when you're done. Any original Civic wiring that is cut should be soldered back together.
