So I got a set of those Halo headlights and I was following the steps to install them from a video 1a auto parts made and when you get to the point to take the front bumper off on their car(and I assume others) there is 5 clips you have to take off. But on my bumper there's 9. Two extra clips under each headlight. Is this normal for the 97? Cause they were doing it on a 95. Any suggestions on what I could do about it? Cause I can't get to them as they are under the headlights. Sorry if this is really nooby

Just use a long long thin flat head screwdriver to get under the tabs. Better yet - don't install the headlights. The light output is horrible...even with HID's. I wish I hadnt wasted my money on them a few years back.

 

I tried that but couldnt pop em out. There's not enough space cause the headlights are blocking the way.

 

It is possible to get the lower headlight bolts out with the bumper on. It just takes a little dexterity and working from the bottom. I have a set of the "halo" lights because I needed a flat cutoff for the HID bulbs. I have been very pleased with them. There are different grades of headlights.

 

How did you get the assembly out when you did that? I got all the bolts off of the assembly but when I tried to pull it out it got caught on the bumper and other things under the hood

 

take the inner bumper off if you havent already. i had to on my 96 in order to remove them.
