The B16A2 in my Civic has the factory A/C bracket / torque mount bracket. I'm not running A/C in the car. The bracket on the engine has a few ears on it that I assume the compressor mounted to. They clutter up the front of the engine IMO.

Is there an A/C bracket I can get that doesn't have provisions for a compressor? Something from a base RS Integra or Type-R maybe? I know neither of those came with A/C standard so maybe the A/C bracket is different.

Google didnt help me out much besides some part numbers for the different A/C brackets. I couldn't find a good picture of anything to help me out.

Worst case Ill just take a sawzall and a grinder to the factory one.

 

If it doesn't have AC...just remove the bracket itself.

No, there isn't. The closest you're going to get is a JDM ITR aluminum AC bracket, it still has the holes but it looks cleaner.

 

You could remove it and use an engine damper instead. Stiffer mounts
