What's up people. Got myself a 97 Ek hatch for $2250 a few months back an I love it so far. Besides the fact it's about an inch and a half to 2 inches off the ground and the roads here on oahu are not made for that. Car was stolen a few days after Christmas but recovered about 9 hours later and need some advice on fixing issues with it now but ill start a new thread for that. Aloha! I actually have family on Maui and I have to say, I'm kind of jealous that you live there right now and I'm stuck on the Mainland. Why would someone steal a car on an island? That's just stupid as ****. lol

Glad to have you here! You should post some pictures of the car and some of the scenery around there. It's got to be beautiful.

 

Some steal bikes an older imports and ship them to Asia or the mainland, some strip them, sometimes they just repaint them an sell them without a title an scam people claiming "it's a friends car an they will mail the title in a few months blah blah blah. Mine was stolen by a couple of meth heads they stripped most of the interior and crashed it covered it in gas and oil but wile on the way to strip then burn it they got pulled over. I fixed most of the stuff but need to fix the hatch lock, replace the passenger door lock and fix/replace the ignition system
Ill try an get the pictures off my phone an post a few at some point. I think the hatch door might be off an 99/00 along with the front bumper because of the headlights and lock in the rear.

there she is, a bit dirty but this was pre stolen, the front is hanging down now, some of the supports were ripped out when they crashed it, the lights arnt broken but they need to be re adjusted an such. glad she still runs but its going to be a pain
