Default Got a good one for you guys.

Alright, here it goes. I drive a 98 accord coupe 3.0 liter and last friday i brought it into the shop to fix a few minor issues because we were slow.

I'll first tell you what i did: I replaced the engine to battery negative ground wire, I welded a few small holes in my exhaust, and I replaced about 4 burned out tail light bulbs.as soon as i was done the car would not start. it would crank and start for about a second then quit. security light is working as intended, coming on for 2 seconds when key is turned to run and then blinking when the key is shut off.

On top of that it will not come out of park without using the key in the console. all the brake lights are coming on when the brake is applied.

Now, since then I have replaced the ignition switch, the main relay under the dash and i just put a used fuel pump in it today because of the new behavior it started exhibiting late this week. If i let the car sit for a while it will start and run but quit if i touch the accelerator. after replacing the fuel pump it will now run better and not quit if the accelerator is touched but it is missing bad. if i let it idle for more than a minute or two it will just die and exhibit the original no start behavior until i let it sit for a while.

Plugs, wires, cap, rotor and coil were all replaced about 2 years ago because the car has 345000 kilometers on it. have not touched the ICM yet. Any ideas and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

You really need to clean up your post and post everything in order. I can't tell what happened and when, and when you replaced things. It's hard to tell what happened and when.

Please just be more detailed in terms of times. First thing, though, check all your fuses. One may have blown somewhere.

What did you hook the clip/clamp of the welder to? You may have shorted something out
