So i have searched and searched and searched to the point of being fed up so i am now asking some one to please spoon feed me.

I am looking for any kind of manual that has details on a gen 2 b16a. i DO NOT want eh vtec supplement for the 89-91 crx sir b16a

unless some one can confirm that all the specs as a gen 2 b16a

i tried looking for a " del sol vtec" manual with zero luck. it is like this manual does not exist except for wiring diagrams which is useless to me.

i looked in the 99+ civic si manual which only displays a b16a2, which is also useless to me.

i cross referenced all these manuals and they all have different specs compared to each other.

specifically right now i am trying to find ignition timing and idle rpm. but would like a manual for the future.long term.

please somebody direct me in the right way. what manual can i use. like im sooooo lost why does this seem to not exist anywhere, or any specs match up to a b16a G2

the problem is none of those manuals exist. i have tried hemls, haynes, chiltons.

nothing for any kind of ek, i have downloaded everything i could from honda hook up and like 7 other sites.

the del sol manual i cannot find anywhere, the haynes del sol manual only covers "D" series engines.
the 92-93 manual only covers the b17 and b18. so im skeptical either way.

anything civic wise is strictly usdm and covers everything single cam and at best the b16a2, which is not a b16a and there are differences.

there has got to be something somewhere or a cross platform...

like even if i have to buy one is fine, but i cannot find one that is b16a gen 2 specific.

well i am not looking for a link at all. like i said i am merely looking for some know-to as to, which manual the b16a is in. like i all said above i have searched like crazy through many acura and honda manuals looking for it.

either this is a crazy rare engine with a crazy rare manual that honda only made 1 of or i am doing something wrong. hence why i am asking.

reason for the bump is i have one day to get this fixed then im back off to work. SOOO yea, gotta find the specs, because idle is not right nor is the ign. timing. hooked the light up to it, red mark is 20 degrees so it is off. and i do not know what the b16a is. i wanna guess at 16 but i simply do not want to guess and apply it.

let alone i would like a manual for a b16a g2 that is covered for future reference. all like i said above.

 

Timing is 16°BTDC +-2° Idle for most of those engines is around 750RPM.

 

OP you weren't kidding. I almost didn't believe you so I checked the Helminc site. Nothing but owner's manual and body repair manual for a 95 'Sol. Glad I nabbed mine when I did.

 

Whats the part number for the manual you purchased?

 

There is a del sol vtec manual with b16.....heres a tip if u search the net hard enough u will come across a site that has a honda factory service manual gold mine and they are all free from honda and acura 84-2008 and parts catalog

really quite frustrating actually. heml's and haynes have crap, which i do not understand, they are so paranoid about it being posted everywhere, yet they do not sell it....

even with torrents it cannot be located, the best i could find was some guy that scanned it with tons of pages missing only covering Sohc.

that is what i kinda figure but i would still like to confirm this and find a manual some where.

How similar is your B16A Gen 2 to the ODB1 B16A2 that came on the EDM EG6 & EG9? Because that EDM service manual is widely available.
