Default Correct Fuel Injectors

I have F18B engine. I was wondering

1. How to check if your injectors are clogged? as mine have filters in them.
2. How do you search market for Correct CC or How do you know which CC is my injectors
3. Is there any number on Injectors that tell you its spray capacity?
4. Does it actually matter if we use different CC?

1. Most times you would send them out to a shop to be cleaned and flow balanced. Other than that if one cylinder is not getting fuel then you could assume it is clogged or not working. Also if one, or more, injectors are not clicking while the engine is running that is another indication that something is wrong with it.

There are some Do-it-yourself videos on YouTube on how to test and clean them yourself.

2. I would assume that your F18B 1.8L is the same as the rest of the Honda engines in that displacement range that use a 240cc injector. Or you could send them away and have them flow tested.

3. The numbers on the injectors are hard to cross reference and get any information from. If you post up the numbers on yours someone else may be able to verify what injectors they are though.

4. Yes it matters, your ECU fuel maps are calibrated to work with the stock flow rate injectors.

Another thing you want to check is the resistance of the injectors. There are low impedance injectors, also known as peak and hold or low-z. These low impedance injectors have a resistance of approx. 2.3 - 3 Ohms. Then there are also high impedance injectors, also known as saturated or high-z. These injectors have a resistance of approx. 11.5 - 13 Ohms.

You can check this simply by measuring the resistance between the 2 pins on the injector.

Why not try adding a bottle of Techron? This stuff is one of the very few non-snake oil products out there that many car companies actually endorse.
